Lake Roofing Systems
Dear Lake roofing,
When building our new log home, my husband and I wanted a metal roof. We spent months looking at different brochures and colors available. It took some time to realize that we wanted the durability of a metal roof, but we wanted it to look more like a traditional roof. The modern look of the shiny metal roodinf did not go with the rustic look we were after.
Finally while surfing the Internet we came across the “shingle looking” metal roof. Immediately we knew this is what we wanted. We called one or two other companies for samples and quotes.
A local company offered a slightly lower price. Ultimately we went with Lake Roofing, not only because they had exactly what we wanted, but because of their representative. He was knowledgeable and we felt more confident the job would be done right. Lake Roofing Systems did a professional job in a timely manner.
It has been two years and no problems have occurred. Everybody who sees this roof for the first time marvels at its beauty.

Re: Stone Coated Steel Tile Roofing
My Gerard metal roof has been up and functioning for several months. We are extremely pleased with the performance and also the appearance of the roof. We have received many unsolicited compliments on the roof’s appearance. Most of the time people think it’s a real tile roof and are very surprised to learn that it is stone coated metal.
Your installation crew was great. They all seem to know their jobs, or friendly and courteous, and went forward with the installation in an efficient manner. After the installation, they cleaned up the site and make sure I was satisfied before leaving.
I recommend your services and the Gerard product enthusiastically. Do not hesitate to have any perspective client call me for a reference. If I build more houses, you will be first on my list for my roofing product and installation.

Dear Lake Roofing Systems,
I would like to thank you for the wonderful job you did in making the replacement of my roof an easy and trouble-free experience.
My roof suffered significant damage during hurricane Wilma in October 2005, requiring a complete “re-roofing” of the existing tiles and materials down to the decking. Once I learned the significant costs associated with this undertaking I resolved to find the best roofing system available. After over 40 hours of independent research, which included Internet research and calls to a number of tile product manufacturers, I concluded that a Gerard Stone coated steel roofing system in the “tile profile” would be the best solution for my roofing needs. The conclusion was based on a number of factors, but most importantly: strength (ability to withstand hurricanes and other damaging storms we experience in South Florida), warranty (Gerard offers a 50 year fully transferable warranty), workmanship, and price.
Once I decided to select a Gerard roof product, my next step was to locate “the best” metal roof installer. My research led me to understand that no matter how good the Gerard product was, without proper installation I could end up with an inferior roofing system. My research kept leading me to only a handful of metal roof installers, one of whom was Lake Roofing Systems. I contacted Lake Roofing Systems and Larry himself visited me immediately. His responsiveness was an indicator of the professionalism of Lake Roofing Systems. Other roofing contractors I contracted for quotes were either nonresponsive, or had a very unprofessional attitude. When I met with Larry I was immediately convinced he was the type of individual I wanted to do business with. He was honest, straightforward, and committed to providing only the very best in products and services.
I knew if I decided to purchase a metal roof the cost would be higher than a standard tile roof. I was pleasantly surprised when Lake Roofing Systems provided me with a quote that was comparable to the cost of standard tile (however with a much superior warranty). Tile roof prices in South Florida have nearly doubled in the last two years, which made the purchase of a metal roof a far more cost-effective proposition.
Finally, the roofing crews that Larry employs are craftsman. They are extremely knowledgeable and hard-working, and went out of their way to answer my questions and address specific details. In other words, in my opinion, Larry’s roofing crews are the top and the metal roof industry.
Since the start of my roofing project I have had over 20 individuals who live in the vicinity of my residents approach me about the Gerard Stone coated metal roofing systems and Lake Roofing Systems. Even they were impressed by the beauty and quality of the roofing system selected. The roof looks exactly like traditional tile from the street, but offers the performance and durability of metal. To say I am a satisfied customer is an understatement!
I again wish to extend my appreciation to the team of Lake Roofing Systems.

Dear Larry and Linda,
Do accept this letter as a THANK YOU for a job well done.
One of the biggest compliments we can give Lake Roofing Systems and the Gerard product is that we will be pleased to recommend your company and the product you represent.
From the time your son, Justin, introduced us to your company and product till the job was completed, it was a pleasurable experience. From start to finish, the attitude of the foreman, Justin and the entire crew, was our goal is to install a roof that you will be proud of. Mission accomplished.

Ms. Linda Lake
We have just received the final inspection signoff from the city of Hollywood, and I am writing to thank all of the folks at LRS for their outstanding services to us during the roofing project.
From the outset, we felt very comfortable with the arrangement with your company. The initial work, by Justin, to provide the estimate and contract was well handled as were the dealings with the city in obtaining the building permit. Throughout the process, your people were very honest with us in estimating when you would be able to get us on your busy schedule. Your original indication of about eight weeks for the entire job was clearly realistic, as the job was completed on May 13th, just nine weeks after we signed the contract.
Your installation crews were very professional. Once the job was started, the entire process took just two weeks. Our property was left in very good condition, and there were no problems whatsoever during the performance of your duties.
Finally, our roof looks BEAUTIFUL. We look forward to many years of success under our new Gerard Stone coated metal tile roof.

Our new Decra roof is gorgeous. One would not normally assign that word to our roof but this one really is just that! You, your wife Linda, and the crew all made this a very easy process.
We appreciated how quickly you made the trip to Richmond to give us a price to reroof our home. You obviously know your product and were able to answer all of our questions (as well of those of our builder) with considerable ease. With a roof with the size and complexity of ours, we were amazed that the materials you ordered were just a few pieces over what was actually required for the job. There are several reasons we were so pleased to find you and this roofing product.
- The look is every bit as good as the artificial slate that was originally installed on our home.
- The price is very similar to the cost of installing the “Slate looking products” that are made of plastics, rubber, and other synthetic materials.
- The durability and appearance warrantees are the best we have ever seen. (Since this product is a “re-do” for us after our supra slate roof failed, we wanted to replace our roof and never have to worry about it again.)
- The old roof didn’t have to be removed. Since the supra slate was breaking up, removing it would have made a tremendous mess. Going over it not only prevented that, but also provides a great insulating layer which will bring down our heating and cooling bills.
The guys who were here did a terrific job and obviously were very experienced. They were all amazingly fast in their works, yet were so careful, there was no discernible unnecessary waste. You had said this is not a roofing product that can be installed by “just anyone”; now we understand why! The skill required to install the “batten system”, cut the material for the hips and valleys, plus line up the shingles absolutely requires a much higher level of experience untrained roofers can bring to the product. Also, we very much appreciated that the roof crew took time at the and of each work day to clean up all around the house. After the roof was finished, they did a major check over of the areas around the house, looking under the shrubbery and sweeping the deck, walks, and driveways. They even cleaned the gutters!
Obviously, we are completely happy with the job. Thank you very much. Everything considered, we can totally recommend you, the crew and the Decra roofing material. We wish you much future success.

I want to take this time to thank you for the great job your crew did on our roof. You and your son were personally involved when I was confused about the overwhelming selection of products to choose from your and other companies. You answered all my questions and were there when I needed you. Once the contract was signed, you immediately ordered the product and began a job on time. Your very knowledgeable foreman overcame all the challenges our roof had offer –rip off rotted decking, parapets, 13 skylights, pipes, curved roofs, curved stacks and working around painters without complaint. The entire roofing crew worked hard and fast. The job was finished, they cleaned everything up. The general contractor checked on the work in progress to completion and was impressed.
The transformation is incredible. The new roof and paint turned it from depressing to a beautiful villa. I will not hesitate to use you again for the new homes I build. It was a pleasure doing business with you.

I just wanted to drop you a note of thanks. Having been in the automobile business
for over 30 years, I’ve come to appreciate excellent customer service. I contracted with
your firm for a replacement roof on my Chesapeake Bay-front home and I am quite
pleased with the results. Your crew showed-up on time, worked hard and completed their
mission as promised. But more importantly, your crew was ever so considerate of our
lifestyle and time. Your personality may have “sold” the job, but your workers deserve all
the credit for the many recommendations I’ve given. The roof is absolutely beautiful and
I’m proud to point out its many features and benefits to friends and neighbors who have
asked about our new roof.

Yes, yes, yes…we are very happy. The roof looks fabulous and I can’t say enough about
how pleased I was with Domingo and his crew. I don’t think I have EVER dealt with so
many men that were so quiet! Domingo was so professional and respectful — but I’m
sure you are fully aware of this.
And last, but certainly not least – I must commend you and your husband for raising such
a fine young man. Justin surely exhibits an exemplary work ethic. Dean and I were
certainly pleased with his dedication and tenacity in dealing with the permit situation. In
addition, his customer services skills are pretty fine tuned. Again, I’m certain you are
aware of this as well.
I will definitely have the check prepared for Justin when I see him this week.
Take care and please don’t hesitate to use me as a referral if you need to.

Many of our friends, neighbors and other residents of HRY&CC have asked “I thought
you were having a metal roof installed”. When told we do have a metal roof, they all say
its beautiful, looks great, I never thought a metal roof would look so good, etc. We are
indeed please with the final product and also are very pleased with the professional
attitude and workmanship during the installation. You delivered what you promised and
on time. Thank you!

Lake Roofing Systems,
This letter is long in the coming, and I apologize. During hurricanes Francis and Jeanne, in
September 2004, my house was destroyed. By September 2005 we had made good
progress rebuilding and had our new beautiful metal roof put on by Larry Lake and
Associates. All aspects of dealing with this family run business, has been a pleasure.
Justin was a very polite and professional young man. He clearly expressed options and
quickly had the estimate ready. Linda with whom I had many correspondences, and phone
conversations, was always professional and a pleasure to talk to. I met Larry later in the
process, but again, it seemed that he truly cares about the process and his customers. The
whole process was extremely well done. Since I was used to delays, and construction
SNAFUs, it was nice to have one part of the construction go smoothly. We had hoped to
move in that year, because the roof was complete, but we still didn’t move in until before
Christmas the following year (2006).
We chose the Gerard Stone Coated Steel, that looks like Spanish tile. Not only are we
impressed by how attractive it looks, it gives us a great feeling of security for any future
storms. I sent a CD with pictures some time ago, but had been remiss in sending this letter.
I must repeat that we are extremely pleased with the roof and the company, and
recommend this roof to anyone looking for quality, long-term value and a beautiful
addition to their home.
Thank you, and happy holidays.

When the time came to replace the roof on my home at Lake Toxaway, North
Carolina, I knew I wanted a roof that not only was energy efficient, but would
withstand the harsh North Carolina mountain winters while adding to the beauty of
the home. After much research, I decided on the Gerard Stone-Coated Steel roof.
From the beginning of my inquiries about this roof, you answered all of my questions
in a straight-forward and informative manner. When the work began, your crew led
was very skilled and professional and all business, without idle chatting or
wasted time. Their perseverance made short order of my re-roofingjob. I especially
appreciated their treating my property and belongings with such care and respect and
their cleanup was impeccable. We found no debris to clean up after the job was
finished. Finally, I wanted to let you know that your bid was very reasonable compared to
others. I chose Larry Lake Roofing not only for this reason, but for your Christian
values and-ethic and your wonderful word-of-mouth reputation. I would highly
recommend both your product and your company and would be happy to talk to
anyone who may have questions;
Again, you have my sincere thanks for ajob well done!

Mr. Larry Lake
Lake Roofing Systems
Dear Mr. Lake,
I am writing to thank you for the exceptional service provided by your company in repairing my
Gerard metal roof. Your professional approach in assisting me to find a solution to my dilemma
Even though your company did not install the original roof, you cared enough to take the time to
drive to Charlotte, N.C. to personally evaluate the roof and to formulate a strategy for its repair.
Your quick response in sending your best installation team to inspect and repair the roof is most
appreciated. The three man crew of Domingo, Joel and Elmer worked from Saturday at noon
until late Saturday evening, well after sunset. The team returned early Sunday morning and did
not leave until the repair job was finished late Sunday afternoon, all in order to ensure that their
high standards of quality work were met.
The entire repair project was carried out methodically and meticulously so that the final results
were exceptional. As you will recall, the original roofing design has been discontinued by
Gerard. Due to the scarcity of available materials left over from the original installation in 2002,
your team took the extra time to carefully remove the old metal roofing to be able to re-use as
much of it as possible. The finished product actually looks better than the original roof.
The team even water tested the final repair job with a hose for fifteen minutes to ensure that the
leak was repaired. The roof easily handled the stress of large amounts of forceful water with no
leaks. Paula and I enjoyed the friendliness of Domingo, Joel and Elmer so much, that we even baked
them two dozen macadamia nut cookies to eat on the road as they drove late Sunday night to their
next job, which began early Monday morning.
If all companies took care of their customers as well as you do, Larry, the world would be a much
better place to live. Your handling of my problem exemplifies the “Golden Rule” at its best –
you most definitely took care of me, as you would like someone else to take care of you, if you
were in my predicament.

Just a note to let you know how pleased we are with our new GERARD STONE
COATED STEEL ROOF that you recently installed. Not only does it look
beautiful, but living and sleeping under it (especially during stormy
weather) gives us a very safe and secure feeling.
When Hurricane Wilma surprised us with a strength not forecasted, we found
ourselves and most of the surrounding communities with badly damaged and
leaking roofs. Presently, at least 30% of the homes from Ft. Lauderdale to
West Palm Beach are still covered with blue plastic tarps as their only
protection. Our concrete tile roof lost nearly 200 tiles and leaked water into 5
different rooms of our home, damaging walls, ceilings, carpets and drapes.
Faced with having to choose a new roof, we decided to go to the internet and
research to find a roof that would not only look good, but would protect us
from the predicted big Hurricanes expected to hit Florida over the next
decade. With Googles help, we were extremely lucky to have found GERARD
and LARRY LAKE & ASSOCIATES. The work was fast and the Lake Roofing team
was highly skilled, friendly and professional. Coincidentally at the same
time, our next door neighbor with a similar home selected a concrete tile
contractor and actually started his roof three weeks before construction
began on our Stone Coated Steel roof. Our roof is now completed and
beautiful, while our neighbors is still covered by tar paper with no roofing
tile in site. He’s fearful that he will have to go through a storm season
with only tar paper to protect him. There was NO WAITING for GERARD and the
Lake Team, who finished the job with three weeks. Way to go! The
benefits that we are thrilled about is that our roof now has the strength
of one solid roof and not a collection of loose roofing tiles which blow off
or break with every hurricane. Also, the fact that my roof is guaranteed
for life does help a lot. The transferable warranty and quality of the roof
will also help to sell our home when the time comes, regardless of the
condition of the real estate market.

Subject: note from Vicki and Jay Baker re: our new roof
Firstly, we wish you and your family happy and healthy holidays.
We feel blessed that we did not get abused by any hurricanes this season!
This was a year of cleaning up, sprucing up, and replacing landscaping
and roofs. Originally having a ‘shake’ roof, we did not know if we wanted to replace it
with the same type. We knew we had several options, all with varying
appearances and costs. EVERYONE in my neighborhood is replacing their
roof, 1. due to the age of the homes, and 2. so much damage from the
multiple hurricanes that pummeled our area the last two years. Most of the
houses have barrel tile roofs, a handful have shake, and several now have
the metal roof. Driving by the house around the block, I did not even realize
that it was metal, because it looked like a ‘shallow’ barrel. The more we did
research , the more I liked the idea. Not only is it very attractive, but it is
light-weight, and long lasting.
From the moment we decided and ordered it, everything went
smoothly…which as we all know is virtually impossible!!!!
Of course, meeting Justin, was my highlight. He is professional,
knowledgeable, and organized. It was a pleasure dealing with him.
His crew leader, Domingo, and his crew, were efficient, hard-working and
clean. They literally worked until the sun went down. They did not stop when
there was a rain shower, and always cleaned up. We did not have to wait for
any supplies. Once everything was delivered, there were no delays. Even
with the inspections, there was only one day of waiting, (which is amazing).
Driving throughout our community, there are many half-finished roofs, still
waiting for supplies, or workers.
All in all, we want to thank you and your company for the efficiency and
personal attention we received. And a special thanks to Justin……..

Dear Linda and Larry,
Just want to tell you how very pleased I am with my new Dover White Roof.
I have lots of compliments. My neighbor said he was concerned when he heard I
was having a metal roof put on. He had no idea it would look so good. And it
appears to be very practical in view of the hurricane that ruined my barrel tile roof.
It was a pleasure working with all of you and your employees. I very willingly

Subject: Letter of Recommendation
Hey Justin (and all),
We wanted to respond and let you know we still love our beautiful roof. If you had just a nickel for everyone who has actually stopped by to say how nice it looks, you’d be a wealthy man. In any case, here goes:
First of all, we did our homework. We spent a year looking at roofs, working the internet to discover the roof business, comparing prices, interviewing, following up on leads, etc. We are in our 60s so we wanted the best – in the hope it would last our lifetime and/or be a good resale value. So many styles, so many colors, so many roofers. The promises versus the price versus the quality versus appearance versus the quality of work. Overall, so much comes down to eyeball to eyeball, to a handshake, to TRUST. Now we’re glad we did all that prep because we wouldn’t have discovered Lake Roofing Systems who by and large satisfied every concern. Honest, hardworking, pride in their product and labor. How much is that worth? A little more than we wanted to pay but worth everything in the end. A huge thank you to Justin and all the employees at Lake Roofing Systems.
You’re welcome to use our names and house photos to recommend your work.

Thank you for our awesome roof!!! We really appreciate the work ethic of your
entire crew as they worked tirelessly to install our Allmet metal roof in the middle of the
rainy season in Florida.
We have had many people stop and ask us about the roof and compliment the
design and dimensional look. With your help, we achieved the feeling of our former
wood shake roof and the added comfort that it would stand up to all the weather coastal
Florida has to offer. As a further bonus we have seen a power bill reduction due to the
Energy Star color of the roof.
Thank you again for all your hands-on help and for your input into the big job of

I spent over a year researching types of roofing to recover the initial asphalt shingle roof
on our 25 year old home. The original roof had weathered well except for wind damage
due to living on a small hill and the turbulence created by the design and position of the
house. Just about every year there would be a fast moving weather front creating storm
winds that would rip tabs from the shingles. The tabs would blow over the house landing
as far as several hundred feet away. They were easily reattached with silicone rubber but
the chore became too frequent and the roof was showing its age.
We decided early on that metal was what we wanted due to the longevity and wind
resistance. However we just didn’t think the typical standing seam type metal roofing
would look well on our style of home. After looking at metal shake and tile shingles we
decided tile was what we wanted. The next step was to select a well established
manufacture and an experienced contractor to do the job. After reviewing online videos
and pictures of many metal roofing products the decision to select Gerard was easily
made. Their regional sales representative highly recommended and directed us to Larry
Lake & Associates, Inc. After making contact with Mr. Lake a visit by Justin Lake was
arranged. My wife and I were immediately impressed by Justin’s knowledge and the
Gerard product. Finally we had found a company with people we had confidence in.
The installation crew was likewise as impressive. I grew up around home construction
helping my Father who was a brick mason. I have seen all types of construction work
crews but the Lake team was unique to all that I’ve seen. I observed a crew that worked
at a moderate pace paying attention to detail instead of the typical just get it done quick
type work. I got to know them well enough to learn they are appreciated and respected
by their employer which explains their excellent quality work.
Now months after the installation, having gone through a hot summer, I am even more
pleased with our decision. The original roof during a sunny day with temperatures in the
high 90s and with little or no wind, the attic temperature would be around 145 degrees.
This is probably about normal for a hip roof with a ridge vent and black shingles.
Even though we decided to go with black stone coated tile, this past summer the highest
recorded attic temperature was 125 degrees. This very significant reduction in attic
temperature was noticeable on our utility bill which I have kept records of since the
house was built.
We are very pleased with the looks, energy efficiency and longevity of Gerard shingles.
But just as with any building product the most important thing is the quality of
installation. Lake Roofing Systems can’t be beat in that respect.
Thanks for a job well done!

As far as the crew, the product and your company, I will say that all of the above either met or exceeded my expectations. I am very happy with the look, the color, the install, the diligent clean-up after the job; it all speaks to the professionalism of the crew. The crew was very easy to work with and answered my questions when I wondered about anything. Domingo, Antonio, Pablo, Chris and Richard all deserve high praise for their attention to detail, workmanship and professionalism. The neighbors had very complementary things to say about my new roof, including “Where did you find those guys?”
The product is beautiful and was installed just in time as we have been having nearly constant torrential rains here practically ever since the install was completed. No runs, no drips, no errors! I am very pleased with the appearance of my new roof and am confident that it will keep the rain, wind and any other weather out for a very long time to come. My old unusual roof has been upgraded with a very beautiful look, and I am one happy customer. My old historic tile look was a contributing reason to why I bought the old house, and the new roof barrel vault stone coated steel tile enhances the look even better.
I will highly recommend Lake Roofing to anyone who wants a stone coated steel roof like mine. All I did was inquire from the manufacturer about the product and suddenly I was hearing from you. I knew what I wanted and after reading the testimonials on your site, talking to you and meeting you, I knew you were the right people for the job. The fact you were not local wasn’t an issue in my decision to do business with your company. A motivated provider with a long history of experience with the product; a motivated buyer with a leaky old steel tile roof facing harsh winter weather coming; it was a win-win combination. The install began later than originally planned, but was done before the nasty weather began.
Additionally, the tip about contacting Admirals Bank really helped, as well. Mike Almeida with Admirals Bank is very easy to work with, and the loans were the catalyst which enabled the project to go through. All in all, it has been a very simple process aided by people that are good at what they do, easy to communicate with and good at helping the customer (me) understand the process and achieve the objective.
The old roof is gone, long live the new roof!
Thanks again for everything.

Dear Larry Lake & Associates, Inc.,
First and foremost I want to say Thank You for making my roof purchase as simple as possible, you answered every question promptly, sales representative set up an appointment right away with samples and provided a house to look at to see the high quality you deliver!
I had given up on having a smooth process for securing a new roof as I had shared with you this was my 3rd attempt after suffering damages from the 3 hurricanes that hit the Daytona Beach area. The first roofer showed up with materials and no permit, the second roofer installed a roof that did not pass inspection. I hope you can post my letter so other individuals do not have to share 2 years of frustration trying to find a reputable roofer to install their new roof.
I will highly recommend your company to anyone that wants to contact me and will gladly show my new roof to anyone that would like to stop and see the quality of a Stone Coated Steel Tile Roof. The process was simple, professional, top quality, high standards, and on time! I was starting to think they didn’t make roofing companies like they used too!
My roof, installed by Larry Lake & Associates, Inc., is an unstoppable Team! Thanks for being there when I needed you!

I used Lake Roofing Systems to replace the roof on my residence following hail
damage this year (2009). The job was completed in the promised time frame and the
quality of workmanship was excellent. I had some leak problems with my old roof from
the time it was installed probably due to poor workmanship. The Lake roofers installed
overlapping shingles in all valleys on the roof and I have not had any leak problems. My
satellite dish even worked after the roofing crew removed it and reinstalled it. I would
recommend Larry Lake & Associates when you need a roof replaced.

Hey Larry and Linda,
We absolutely love our new roof. It sure beats the old asbestos shingles. My son, who is
an architecture student, came by the other day and said that it added tremendous beauty to
our house. We think so too. Your men were probably the most professional people that we
have ever dealt with. At the end of every day the men cleaned up; and at the end of the
job, nothing was left for us to dispose of.
You have our highest recommendation.

saved our lives…it gave us just enough to survive a direct hit from an F3 tornado.
We were lucky to get out alive and we will rebuild. I’ll be calling you about a new roof later in the year.
Best Wishes to you and your family.

Tom and Grace Milton were struck with 15 seconds of shear terror on February
2nd when an F-3 tornado slammed in to their Deland, Florida residence. In
January 2006 Larry Lake and Associates installed a Gerard Stone Coated Steel
Roof on the home. According to the Milton’s the roof is what ultimately protected
them and their animals from the storm. “The roof saved our lives,” said Grace.
When asked about rebuilding their home the Milton’s agree that they only roof
replacement option is a Gerard Stone Coated Steel Roof. “Larry and Linda Lake
as installers are the best. With them, you get what you pay for. Larry’s crew
took the time to make sure every batten was fastened in to the rafter, and
according to the FEMA inspector this is what kept the roof on,” said Tom.
The roof did lift in the carport area because the wind load underneath raised the
trusses in the corner and peeled the roof back with it. As for the rest of the
home, owner Larry Lake of Larry Lake and Associates noted some of the
fastening methods he used on the Milton installation which helped to keep the
roof secure to the home throughout the rage of the F-3 Tornado. These methods included;
Using 3” screws to fasten all the battens and counter battens as well as ensuring
that every panel was also screwed using #10 x 2 inch screws. On the rake 3.5”
fascia was used then they capped down on to it, each rake cap was then
fastened using a total of 3 screws, at the top, bottom and middle of each cap.
The company hired by the Milton’s to do the rebuild is Camry Properties of
Delray, Florida. Michael Boland of Camry commented, “I would have hated to
see what any other roof would have done, I guess the same thing as the
neighbors,” as he points to two houses that were completely destroyed.
The Milton’s will begin rebuilding in the coming weeks and according to the
Milton’s, “Our new roof will be a Gerard Roof installed by Larry Lake. There is no
one else I would trust to do the job he did.”

Our local TV station said to use “local” contractors, but my experience with”local” was anything but good. We first
learned ofLarry Lake & Associates, Inc.’s Lake Roofing Systems from watching HGTV DIY Network’s Blog Cabin
and the installation of the stone coated steel shake roof on their log cabin. We quickly wrote down the
information and began our research. Lake Roofings Systems is licensed in TN and had no complaints on file
with the Department of Professional Regulation and knowing that a TV show would do the best research before hiring
a contractor to be on their show, we went with Larry. It took them one week to do our roof and it
is perfect! During the recent tornados in TN our roof held fast. I was impressed when Larry called to see if we needed any repairs and I was happy to report our roof didn’t even have a scratch. I highly recommend anyone to use this company.
The product is wonderful and the installation went perfect. Sometimes using “local” is not always best.
Sometimes the best is out of town! Lake Roofing Systems is the best!

Dear Lake Roofing Systems,
I can’t express how pleased we are with our new Gerard Stone Coated Steel Roof.
We interviewed and received quotes from several roofing companies. When Justin came to our
home he impressed us more than any of them. He provided vital information, answered all of
our questions, and never displayed any type of pressure tactics. The estimate from Justin was
not the lowest but his affable manner and professional presentation made our decision an easy
one. The roofing crew was not only skilled but professional and courteous as well.
The foreman worked with us regarding any concerns along the way and provided many custom
touches to the job. It was apparent that quality and customer satisfaction were his main
objective and not just moving on to the next job. The quality and appearance of our new roof
has exceeded our expectations.
Sincere thanks to your entire team at Lake Roofing Systems.

I rarely write letter to companies I do business with because I pay a fair price and expect
a good job in return. However, as I think about our relationship and the job recently
completed, I realize just how wonderful an experience I had dealing with you and your
company. On behalf of the entire Sekulic Family I want to thank you for the excellent
work and service your company provided in replacing our roof for our home in Virginia
Your employees were not only professional in every aspect of the building trade, but
were also very friendly. I know for a fact that you left my houselyard cleaner than when
you got there. Even though the job extended over two days, there was never so much as a
scrap on the ground to indicate that you had been there. The evidence of your efforts was
a great looking roof.
You told me the job would be difficult and promised me that on March 21st it would be
completed. You kept your promise-it was completed on March 21 st! Companies in the
construction business rarely deliver on time and we appreciate that you honored your
promise.A great reputation is the best advertising and you guys deserve every nice thing I
will tell my friends about you.

To whom it may concern:
During the month of June 2004, I found that the cedar shake roof on our house at the Smith
Mountain Lake in Virginia was leaking. It needed replacement. My partner who is planning a new
house suggested looking at the option of a metal roof. He had spoken to Mr. Larry Lakes and
referred me to him. On further investigating, I realized that the cost was not significantly different
from a good roof. My only concern was depending on someone away from here to finish the work
My experience in dealing with Mr. Lakes was exceptionally good. He gave a good price, did the
work promptly and as promised. He is very professional and pleasant to deal with. Most importantly,
he proved to be very reliable. Part of the work needed to be done after extension of a dock to be
built. He came back and did that in timely fashion. I have no reservations in referring Mr. Larry
Lakes for metal roofs.

My roof was completed April 2003. Larry Lake and his organization was a
stroke of luck for me. I was very frustrated with my 20 yr old cedar shake
roof but even more frustrated with the options my community association
allowed me. I was determined not to put on another cedar shake roof and
also determined not EVER to do another roof at all! The solution was
Larry’s stone coated metal roof. Domingo and the crew placed the new
roof over my old roof in record time. I felt my house looked better than
ever and now the roof has a much ‘neater and cleaner’ look. I have
remained pleased with my decision and feel the look of the roof is ‘classic’.

Subject: Stone coated Roof on Key Largo House
Hello Mr. Lake,
I hope this email finds all going well for you. I thought that you might
like to know that the roof you had installed on my house in Key Largo
has attracted favorable attention. My wife and I are happy with it too.
I have meant to phone you for the past month, but I have been busy and it
just hasn’t worked out so I thought that I would send an email. When your
roofers installed the roof on my house it was a very busy time for me. Your
roofers did an excellent job, and I didn’t really have the time to thank
them after they completed the work. They were off to another job, and I was off for
Maryland! The foreman was very considerate. He showed me things about
the roofing material and the installation procedure. He had me up on the
roof several times so I could see what was involved and how the work was
progressing. I salute the foreman and his roofers. They were excellent
in every way, and I would like them to know that I appreciate what they
did. They deserve a bonus!

Our stone coated steel roof has been installed for slightly
more than one year. It dramatically improved the appearance
of our modest home. We routinely receive nice comments and
questions about the roof. Most importantly, we are totally
satisfied with the product, the workmanship, and the
professionalism of LLAI. The materials and the crew arrived
as scheduled and the work was completed without a hitch. The
investment is substantial but so is the result.

Dear Lake Roofing Systems,
I just wanted to say thank you for my beautiful new roof. For seven months after being hit by
Wilma I begged roofing companies to take my job. Everyone was too busy. I contracted with an
out of state company who did not know the products from the companies down here and when I
found out they never installed a roof in Florida I went elsewhere. The second company I found
was local with a great reputation. They came out and measured and never got back to me.
Right at that time my husband saw you installing a roof on my neighbor’s house. He ran down
there and came back with the good news that you would take our job.
Justin Lake came by and saw all the water intrusion damage we had and put us on the priority
list. Your workmen were punctual, polite, and professional and worked like super humans taking
few breaks. Unlike most contractors they left the house broom clean. Despite bad weather they
got the job done in record time.
If anyone questions your knowledge of local codes please have them call me. Pompano is one of
the most difficult Cities to get permits and their inspector’s are notorious sticklers to detail. You
got both taken care of quickly and your workmanship passed even their tough standards.
It is such a wonderful feeling not to have it rain in the house anymore and to have the piece of
mind that my new roof is the best available with a lifetime warranty! As an added bonus my
neighbors have all been admiring my roof and can’t believe its not real tile!
Thanks for everything,

Lake Roofing Systems
Hello Lake Roofing family,
I wanted to send you a letter to express how pleased we are with our new metal roof.
My wife did a lot of research before we picked a manufacturer and an installer for this job. She narrowed our manufacturer down to Gerard. When we started looking you were brought to our attention by Gerard. They obviously want to have superior installers placing their products so it works properly.
From the initial contact you were all very helpful and informative. More than once you went the extra mile without a complaint to get the information we requested and answered our questions. And I know there were a lot of questions. Everyone, especially Justin, was courteous and knowledgeable. Personally I get put off if the company or salesman is resistant to answering my questions. It makes me think (from experience) they either do not know what they are doing or just have a bad attitude. Lake Roofing was happy to make sure we were comfortable with our purchase and understood exactly what we were getting and why. We decided we would hire Lake Roofing because everything was so positive. Boy are we glad we did.
The installing crew blew my mind. I do not know what you pay them, but they deserve more. They showed up when they said they would, they worked all day… And I mean “all day.” Usually from 7 AM until it was too dark safely work. Even when it rained they stuck around to wait for the rain to stop so they could go back to work. They were very pleasant and extremely efficient. Cannot say enough about how impressed I was. I would recommend them any day, all day.
We have had the roof for quite a few months now and we are absolutely satisfied. So, thanks again for everything and we would be happy to be used as a referral if you need it.

Subject: Roof installation August 2002
Dear Larry & Linda,
When the time came to replace the architectural roof on our home
last Summer, we considered nearly every type of roofing cover. When Larry
made his first call to our home to explain the homeowner benefits of a steel
stone coated roof, we knew that we had meet our roofing contractor! The
entire process from beginning to end was 100% professional and for the
roofing industry that is outstanding. Each day, Domingo and the crew
arrived on time and cleaned up any construction debris. Larry would not
accept final payment until we, together, inspected the finished product and
agreed that all was in order. Were we back in August 2002 and needing a
new roof, we would make the same decision, 60% because of Larry’s
business ethics and 40% because of the high quality of the stone coated

Wow! The roof is beautiful! This is our third day here at the Lake House. The first two
were nice and we looked at the roof from every possible angle and in different light at
different times of day. We looked from shore and from the lake. Gorgeous! Getting out
from under my old leaky roof is like getting a 10,000 pound gorilla off my back. I like
my house again and take new pride in it. Day 3 it’s been raining all day. I’ve missed
water skiing but I’ve been out in the rain looking at my roof and in the house dry,
enjoying the rainy day. We’ve had lots of “looky loos” checking out the roof. Need

Subject: Stone coated steel roofing
Following the Spring storms of 2003 in our area I
discovered hail damage to my roof. The roof would have to be
replaced but I thought there had to be something better than
what I had been doing since this would be the third roof in 16
years. For several weeks I worked on the internet to explore the
possibilities of a metal roof, made phone calls to various
companies and received lots of literature. Up to this point I only
imagined a metal roof as something that would look better than
what you typically see on a barn. Once I saw the stone coated
metal roof product and realized that it was not something new
and had been around for years, I knew this was the product I
wanted since I wanted to replace my roof for the last time.
Two problems had to be solved, (1. what product to use,
and (2. what contractor to install the product. Again after more
computer work and phone calls to users of the product, I
decided on the stone coated steel product and Larry Lake &
Associates to install the roof.
Larry was most helpful and very timely in providing all
information and pricing. He worked with me on a few custom
changes I requested, especially with the open valley I decided
to use. His crew was very professional and extremely hard
working, I was amazed at the number of hours Domingo and
the men would work with it being mid December. The roof is
beautiful. I would highly recommend Larry Lake & Associates
and the stone coated steel product to anyone looking to “put
on their last roof”.
